KETO Motors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, held at Bharat Future City, to set up a new electric bus manufacturing facility in Jadcherla. The ₹300-crore project will focus on producing 9-metre electric buses and is expected to generate more than 2,000 direct jobs over the next three years.

D. Sridhar Babu, Telangana’s Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, attended the MoU signing. The Government of Telangana will support the project by expediting all required statutory and regulatory approvals through the TG-iPASS single-window system.

In a statement, D. Sridhar said, “Telangana continues to spearhead India’s shift toward clean mobility by fostering a robust, future-ready electric vehicle ecosystem. KETO Motors’ investment in Jadcherla further strengthens our EV value chain, advances high-tech manufacturing, and generates significant employment opportunities for our youth. We remain steadfast in our commitment to nurturing innovation, emerging technologies, and enterprises that drive sustainable, inclusive, and long-term economic growth for the state.”

Venkatesh Challa, Director of KETO Motors, stated, “Telangana has established itself as a pioneering state for EV manufacturing, and we are proud to further strengthen our presence here. Our new facility in Jadcherla will enable us to scale production, manufacture world-class electric buses, and actively support the state’s vision for sustainable transportation. This MoU marks a significant milestone in our long-term growth strategy, underscoring our commitment to delivering high-quality electric mobility solutions while enhancing India’s domestic manufacturing capabilities.”

Through this strategic collaboration, both parties will work in close coordination to ensure the successful establishment and operational readiness of the Jadcherla facility, while simultaneously driving the growth and strengthening of India’s domestic electric vehicle manufacturing capabilities.
