Jyoti Structures commissioning new galvanising line at Nashik tower manufacturing facility

Jyoti Structures Limited has commissioned and made fully operational a new galvanisation facility at its second transmission tower manufacturing unit in Nashik, marking a key expansion of its manufacturing capabilities. The second unit, designed for an annual output of 36,000 metric tonnes, has commenced operations following the successful installation, testing, and commissioning of the galvanising infrastructure.

The expansion includes the commissioning of a dedicated galvanising plant, the addition of three CNC drilling machines, and the refurbishment of existing CNC equipment. These upgrades are expected to enhance fabrication precision, improve production throughput, and ensure consistent finishing quality across the tower manufacturing process. Jyoti Structures’ first Nashik unit, operational since August 2022 with a matching capacity of 36,000 MT per annum, continues to operate at optimal utilisation levels, supporting ongoing transmission project execution.

With both Nashik units now fully functional, the company’s combined tower manufacturing capacity at the location has doubled to around 72,000 MT per annum, creating a scalable and integrated production base to support present and future transmission infrastructure requirements.

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Kumar Singh, CEO, Jyoti Structures Limited, said that the commissioning of galvanisation operations at the second unit significantly strengthens the company’s in-house manufacturing depth and operational control across critical stages of tower production. He noted that as transmission projects grow in size and technical complexity, execution reliability and internal capabilities become increasingly important. The expanded facility is expected to improve planning, scheduling, and delivery predictability while maintaining stringent quality standards required for large national transmission programmers. He added that the company remains focused on disciplined execution, effective risk management, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.

The expanded Nashik manufacturing base will support execution across Jyoti Structures’ existing order book, including the 800 kV HVDC transmission project awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. As previously disclosed, the company’s order book stands at close to ₹2,000 crore excluding GST, with the 800 kV HVDC project valued at approximately ₹741 crore including GST, providing strong visibility for project execution in the coming period.
