Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DPIL), a leading Indian manufacturer of power cables and transmission conductors under the DICABS brand, has secured a significant order from Gujarat Energy Transmission Company Limited for the supply of 66 kV Extra High Voltage (EHV) power cables.
The order involves the supply of approximately 270 kilometers of 66 kV EHV cables and is scheduled for execution within four months from the date of the purchase order. This marks one of the largest single EHV cable orders received by the company, reinforcing its strong positioning in India’s high-voltage transmission infrastructure segment.
The contract is expected to enhance DPIL’s revenue visibility and profitability during the execution period, while also strengthening its footprint among state transmission utilities—an essential driver of India’s power infrastructure expansion.
DPIL has demonstrated strong execution capabilities in the EHV cable segment, having successfully delivered over 90 kilometers of 66 kV and 110 kV EHV cable orders over the past six months. The company has also catered to leading private sector developers and infrastructure players, building a reputation for quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
The EHV cable industry in India remains highly specialized, with limited qualified manufacturers due to stringent requirements, including advanced CCV (Catenary Continuous Vulcanization) technology, rigorous testing standards, and long approval cycles from utilities and EPC contractors. These factors create significant entry barriers, positioning the segment as a technically exclusive space.
DPIL, with its state-of-the-art manufacturing infrastructure and NABL-approved testing facilities capable of testing up to 700 kV, is well-positioned among this select group of manufacturers.
Order Book Position With this order, the Company’s total outstanding order book as on 30th March 2026 stands at over ₹3,500 Crores, providing strong revenue visibility for the coming periods.
