Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore, marking a strategic step in strengthening its presence in global energy trading. The new entity, Bharat Petroleum Global Energy Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., was incorporated on February 26, 2026.
The subsidiary has been established to set up a dedicated trading desk for crude oil, natural gas, petroleum, and other petrochemical products. It will also undertake associated trading activities aimed at enhancing BPCL’s participation in international markets.
The company stated that the incorporation has been formally communicated to the stock exchanges.
The subsidiary has been created with an issued share capital of USD 2 million. BPCL holds 100% of the shareholding, with a total of 2 million shares issued at USD 1 per share.
No approvals were required for the incorporation. As this is the formation of a wholly owned subsidiary, elements such as acquisition timeline and transaction consideration are not applicable.
Operating within the energy sector, the subsidiary will focus on trading activities involving crude oil, natural gas, petroleum, and petrochemical products. As a newly incorporated company, historical turnover data is not available.
