Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Tata Motors have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at India Energy Week 2026 to jointly develop India’s largest Mega EV Charging and Engagement Hubs, marking a significant step towards strengthening the country’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and clean mobility ecosystem.
Under the collaboration, high-capacity fast-charging and customer engagement hubs will be established at select BPCL retail outlets across India. These facilities are designed to support the growing demand for quick, reliable, and accessible EV charging, thereby accelerating the adoption of electric mobility nationwide.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Gorav, Chief General Manager (Marketing), Retail HQ, BPCL, and Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML), in the presence of Mr. Pardeep Goyal, Business Head (Retail), BPCL.
As part of the agreement, the mega EV charging hubs will be equipped with fast-charging infrastructure at strategically located BPCL fuel stations. In addition to charging services, the hubs will include dedicated customer engagement zones aimed at enhancing the overall EV ownership experience by improving convenience and reducing charging time.
The partnership aligns with BPCL’s vision of developing future-ready mobility infrastructure and supporting India’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation solutions. For Tata Motors, the collaboration strengthens efforts to expand charging accessibility for its rapidly growing electric passenger vehicle portfolio.
The MoU also highlights India Energy Week’s role as a key platform for presenting scalable, consumer-focused energy and mobility solutions that help bridge policy objectives with on-ground implementation.
