Borouge and KEI Industries Ltd have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a strategic collaboration aimed at supporting India’s power transmission and distribution (T&D) sector. The agreement focuses on leveraging Borouge’s innovative cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), manufactured in the UAE, for use in cables produced by KEI Wires and Cables, one of India’s largest cable manufacturers.
The MoU was signed by Mr Roland Janssen, Chief Executive Officer of Borouge Pte, and Mr Anil Gupta, Managing Director of KEI Industries. The partnership is designed to combine Borouge’s advanced material solutions with KEI’s cable manufacturing capabilities to address the evolving needs of India’s energy infrastructure.
Both companies expressed their commitment to advancing the development of high-quality power grids and contributing to India’s transition toward renewable energy. The collaboration is positioned as a significant step toward delivering reliable and sustainable solutions for the country’s expanding and modernizing power network.
