Advait Energy Transitions Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of 150MW/300MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Gujarat.
The award has been granted under a tariff-based competitive bidding process (Phase-VIII), supported by Viability Gap Funding (VGF) through the Power System Development Fund (PSDF), followed by an e-reverse auction.
The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing. The project will be executed within a period of 18 months from the date of signing the Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement.
The contract involves the deployment of standalone BESS infrastructure aimed at enhancing grid stability and supporting renewable energy integration in the state. The project size is valued at a tariff of ₹2,10,000 per MW per month, inclusive of applicable taxes.
According to the company, the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not fall under related party transactions. Additionally, no promoter or group company interest is involved in the awarding authority.
This development marks a significant addition to Advait Energy Transitions’ growing portfolio in the energy storage segment, reinforcing its position in India’s evolving grid infrastructure and clean energy transition ecosystem.
