Advait Energy Transitions Secures ₹21.30 Crore PGCIL Contract for 765kV Emergency Restoration Systems

Advait Energy Transitions Ltd (AETL) has won a ₹21.30 crore order from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) for the supply of Emergency Restoration Systems (ERS) under Package ERS-1. The systems will be suitable for transmission corridors operating up to 765kV AC and ±800kV, and the project is planned for completion within 18 months.

The ERS solutions will enable rapid restoration of power transmission lines in the event of tower collapses or structural disruptions, helping minimise grid outages and ensuring continuity of high-voltage power flow. These systems are increasingly critical as India’s energy demand grows and extreme weather events pose greater risks to transmission infrastructure.

The contract further strengthens AETL’s footprint in the specialised domain of transmission reliability solutions. By providing high-capacity ERS technology, the company aims to support national grid operators in building a more resilient, flexible and secure power network.

AETL’s latest order underscores the rising emphasis on emergency-ready transmission systems as India accelerates its grid expansion, modernisation and climate-resilience initiatives.
