Q.Please tell us some of the major milestones of Megger India in the past few years

One of the most significant milestones of Megger has been to set up the first factory outside the US and Europe in India under the Make in India initiative which reflects our commitment to global expansion and contribution to the growth of the Indian manufacturing sector. Additionally, Megger has made several acquisitions since 2018 with online DGA product range from Wiedmann, Diagsol Balto, Baker Instruments, PDIX, Diagnostic Solutions Limited, and strategic alliances with world-renowned solution providers like IPS and Synaptec which brings multi-fold growth. One of the main objectives of Megger is to help reduce downtime by providing solutions that increase productivity. Mobile Testing Van and Cable Testing Van for EHV class cables are some of the latest products to support the objective which marks a few of the many milestones

 

Q. Since your company has been around for a pretty long time, what obstacles did it encounter when expanding?

Megger is heavily invested in R&D which has led to a strong base to facilitate the introduction of cutting-edge technology by adhering to CVC guidelines as per the market trends, hence the demand from users with superior quality requirements is taken care of. However, some obstacles are bound to come up from low-quality brands with limited features. 

 

Q. Could you please shed some light on the offerings of Megger India and how it benefits the customers?

Megger offers a comprehensive range of technically advanced products across various segments such as transformers, cables, protection, low-voltage insulation, general electrical testing, partial discharge, motor and generator testing, etc., which help the customers carry out systematic predictive maintenance activity to save their assets

 

Q.What obstacles did the company face during the Make in India initiative?

During the process of setting up the manufacturing facility, the supply chain was identified as one of the possible obstacles that were addressed using the Kaizen process, apparently, that led to ironing out several other possible obstacles along the way. 

 

Q. As your company supports a diverse range of products, were there any roadblocks for your company to set up a distribution network along the way?

Identifying industry-relevant and experienced distributors nationwide is the key to reaching the right customer and Megger could do that effortlessly because of its strong brand presence, wide visibility, active network connections with industry leaders, and of course the right product in each segment.

 

Q. How is Megger India going to match up with the demand and expectations of its customers in the coming years?

Megger is well equipped to fulfill current and future market demand with more high-quality & reliable products driven by data and digital technology, functionality, and user experience including IoTenabled devices, monitoring and control features, data analytics services, and health indexing for electrical assets to match the latest trends
