Vedanta Aluminium Unveils New Products for Power and Transmission Industry at PowerEdge 2024

Vedanta Aluminium has introduced two innovative products for the power and transmission sector at PowerEdge 2024. The AL59 Ingot, renowned for its high electrical conductivity, is perfect for remelting, while the electrical conductor (EC) grade Wire Rod, designed for winding strip applications, offers an optimal mix of strength, conductivity, and workability. Both products are engineered for precise transformer and motor winding applications.

John Slaven, CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, highlighted aluminium's crucial role in the energy sector's evolution and reaffirmed the company's dedication to enhancing efficiency and sustainability. With a wire rod production capacity of 650 kilotonnes, Vedanta Aluminium stands as a major global producer, utilizing advanced technologies from Southwire (USA) and Continuus-Properzi (Italy).

Additionally, the company’s Restora and Restora Ultra product lines, produced with renewable energy and recycled aluminium, feature some of the lowest carbon footprints in the industry. Vedanta Aluminium also proudly holds certifications from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) International, underscoring its commitment to sustainable and high-quality manufacturing.
