On Monday, opposition Congress MLAs brought up the issues of power outages and fuel surcharges on electricity bills, causing a ruckus in the Rajasthan Assembly.
Heeralal Nagar, the Minister of State for Power, stated that power outages are a result of the previous Congress government's poor management while Congress MLAs were yelling slogans.
Congress MLAs Indra Meena, Manish Yadav, and Amit Chachan brought up this matter during Question Hour and Zero Hour. Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Jully expressed his displeasure with the minister's response during Question Hour, claiming that it was an attempt to mislead the House.
He said, "The minister has stated that power plants are operating at a higher capacity; therefore, why there is a lack of electricity?" After that, Congress MLAs began raising slogans.
During Zero Hour, Amit Chachan raised the issue of a fuel surcharge imposed on electricity bills and power outages. The Congress MLAs also raised slogans regarding this matter and demanded the withdrawal of fuel surcharges. Jully asked Speaker Vasudev Devnani to direct the government in this regard. The issue of undeclared power cuts has also been brought to the attention of Congress MLA Manish Yadav.
