Lockdown constraints amid second wave of Covid-19 a downside risk for electricity demand: ICRA

The state-owned PFC said on the last day that it has paid a total dividend of ?2,033 crore to the government for the financial year 2023–24. A statement said the company has paid dividends in three instalments of ?554 crore, ?832 crore, and ?647 crore.
"PFC pays the highest-ever interim dividend of ?2,033 crore to the Government of India for FY24. The interim dividend RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) intimation advice was presented to RK Singh, Minister Power, New & Renewable Energy -- by CMD Parminder Chopra," it noted.
According to the statement, PFC has so far distributed an interim dividend of ?3,630 crore to its shareholders for the financial year 2023–24, marking the highest ever interim dividend paid by the company.
