BMW India has launched the new BMW X4 M40i in the Indian market today. Priced at Rs 96.2 lakh (ex-showroom), this luxury sports SUV will be sold in limited numbers and can be exclusively booked at the BMW Online Shop. The vehicle will be available as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU).
Equipped with a powerful 3.0-litre Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine, the BMW X4 M40i delivers 360hp of power and a maximum torque of 500 Nm at 1,900 – 5,000 rpm. It boasts impressive acceleration, achieving 0-100 km/hr in just 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/hr. The engine also features 48-volt mild hybrid technology.
The BMW X4 M40i offers different driving modes, including ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT, and SPORT Plus. Its 8-speed Steptronic Automatic transmission ensures smooth power delivery to all four wheels. The car is equipped with an M Sport differential, which enhances traction and cornering by electronically controlling power distribution to each wheel.
In terms of design, the new X4 M40i showcases a coupe-SUV silhouette. It features a large BMW M kidney grille with a chrome frame and sleek LED headlamps at the front. Other exterior highlights include L-shaped LED DRLs, sleek LED taillamps, a glossy black grille, skid plates, ORVMs, and 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels with red callipers.
Inside the cabin, the X4 M40i offers a dual-tone theme with twin 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. The interior is adorned with leather upholstery, a three-spoke steering wheel, ambient lighting, a three-zone climate control system, reclining rear seats, panoramic sunroof, and more.
Safety features of the X4 M40i include six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, and ISOFIX child seat mounting.
The BMW X4 M40i is available in Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire colors. It also offers the standard leather Vernasca in Black and Tacora Red options.
