The JSW Group also operates a cement grinding unit at its Salboni location, where Mamata Banerjee ceremoniously lit a digital lamp to mark the foundation stone laying. She also formally unveiled the foundation plaque of the power plant.
Chairman of JSW Group and industrialist Sajjan Jindal remarked, “Salboni represents a vision for the group’s future. Over the past decade, the state has experienced remarkable growth, and the progress in West Bengal has been widely appreciated. The land rightfully belongs to the farmers, and they should reap the benefits of the industries being established here.” Jindal further emphasised that the Salboni power plant will feature state-of-the-art technology, ensuring zero pollution.
