PM Modi to unveil ?33,700 Crore Development Push in Chhattisgarh, Including Modern Power Plants

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh on March 30, where he will address a public gathering at Mohbhatha village and is anticipated to launch several significant development projects.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited the site in Bilaspur for an inspection ahead of the prime minister's upcoming public meeting. According to the Prime Minister's office, Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Bilaspur around 3:30 pm, where he will lay the foundation stone, launch key projects, and dedicate to the nation several development initiatives valued at over ?33,700 crore. As part of efforts to make Chhattisgarh self-reliant in power generation, Modi will lay the foundation stone for NTPC's Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (1x800 MW) in Bilaspur district, a project worth more than ?9,790 crore. This advanced pit-head project will use state-of-the-art ultra-supercritical technology, ensuring high power generation efficiency. Additionally, he will initiate work on the first super-critical thermal power project (2x660 MW) for Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL), a venture valued at over ?15,800 crore.
Modi will also dedicate three power transmission projects of Power Grid under the Western Region Expansion Scheme (WRES), valued at over ?560 crore, to the nation. In support of India's net-zero emission targets, efforts to reduce air pollution, and the promotion of cleaner energy solutions, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) in the Koriya, Surajpur, Balrampur, and Surguja districts. This project includes more than 200 km of high-pressure pipelines, over 800 km of medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) pipelines, and multiple CNG dispensing outlets, with a total investment of over ?1,285 crore.
