Lockdown constraints amid second wave of Covid-19 a downside risk for electricity demand: ICRA

Tata Power Delhi Distribution recently said that its collaboration with Baaz Bikes to expand and set up electric vehicle battery swapping stations across north and northwest Delhi. Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a prominent power distribution company, provides electricity to approximately 9 million people in North Delhi.
As per the statement, Tata Power-DDL has said that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Baaz Bikes (Electroark Technologies Pvt Ltd), a provider of battery-swapping services, to expand and establish electric vehicle battery swapping stations in North and Northwest Delhi. Under the terms of the agreement, Tata Power-DDL will provide designated spaces for the installation of these battery swapping stations.
Baaz Bikes, the provider of battery-swapping services, will handle the design, sourcing, procurement, and maintenance of these stations. The MoU was signed between Tata Power-DDL and Baaz Bikes in the presence of senior officials from both organizations. Notable attendees included Gajanan S Kale, CEO of Tata Power-DDL; Rajesh Bahl, Chief of Operations & Safety at Tata Power-DDL; and Shubham Srivastava, Co-Founder of Baaz Bikes.
The partnership seeks to enhance commercial electric two-wheeler mobility in Delhi by integrating Tata Power-DDL's infrastructure with Baaz Bikes' cutting-edge charging and battery-swapping technology.
