On December 8, NTPC Group reached its target of generating 300 BU of electricity for FY 2024-25, accomplishing this milestone in just 252 days. This achievement is 10 days ahead of FY 2023-24, when the same target was met on December 18.
The company has an installed capacity of 76.5 GW, with an additional 29.5 GW currently under construction, including 9.6 GW of renewable energy. NTPC aims to achieve 60 GW of renewable capacity by 2032.
NTPC, India's largest integrated power producer, fulfils a quarter of the nation's electricity needs. The company has expanded its portfolio to include emerging sectors such as e-mobility, waste-to-energy, and green hydrogen solutions, while also engaging in bids for power distribution in union territories.
