KEC International Ltd., a global infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) major and an RPG Group company, has secured turnkey orders worth Rs. 2,872 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for the design, supply and installation of 765 kV transmission lines.

The orders have been awarded under the company’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business and include the largest-ever order secured by KEC International’s India T&D business.

The 765 kV transmission projects are associated with the evacuation of 8.5 GW of renewable energy from Gujarat, significantly strengthening the company’s India T&D order book

Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd. commented, “We are delighted with the strong momentum in our T&D business, marked by a series of significant order wins. The orders secured from PGCIL include the largest-ever order for our India T&D business. These prestigious 765 kV projects, associated with the evacuation of 8.5 GW of renewable energy from Gujarat, have substantially expanded our India T&D order book. We remain confident in the growth prospects of India’s T&D market, supported by rising energy demand and the country’s continued focus on strengthening its transmission infrastructure. With these wins, our YTD order intake has crossed Rs. 13,500 crores, including ~Rs. 9,500 crores from the T&D business.”
