ACME Solar Operationalizes Additional 107.36 MW / 437.49 MWh BESS Capacity in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd, through its subsidiaries, has commissioned an additional cumulative Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity of 107.36 MW / 437.49 MWh across two projects in Rajasthan, taking its total operational BESS capacity to 4.96 GWh.

The newly commissioned capacity comprises the first phase of a 53.73 MW / 222.969 MWh Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Project and an additional 53.63 MW / 214.52 MWh capacity under an Assured Peak Power Project.

The FDRE Project is located at Neemri village in Tehsil Rawatbhata, Chittorgarh district, Rajasthan, and is connected to the Neemuch substation. The project has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a National Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA). ACME Solar expects to commission the remaining BESS capacity of the project within the current financial year.

Under the Assured Peak Power Project, ACME Solar has commissioned an additional 53.63 MW / 214.52 MWh of BESS capacity. With this addition, the total BESS capacity commissioned under the project has reached 159.58 MW / 638.32 MWh.

The Assured Peak Power Project is located at Kelan village in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and is connected to the Bikaner III substation. The project also has a 25-year PPA with a National REIA. The company expects the BESS capacity associated with the full 300 MW project to be commissioned within the current financial year.

The latest commissioning strengthens ACME Solar’s operational energy storage portfolio in Rajasthan, with further BESS capacity planned to be brought online within the current financial year.
