Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited (ATS), one of India’s leading manufacturers of transformers and switchgear solutions, has received Vendor Registration Approval from Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL) for the manufacturing and supply of 500 KVA, 11/0.415 KV Level1 CRGO Copper Wound Distribution Transformers. The approval marks another significant milestone in the Company’s growth journey and further strengthens its position in India’s power transmission and distribution ecosystem.
UGVCL, a subsidiary of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), is one of the key electricity distribution companies serving the state of Gujarat. The vendor approval enables Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited to participate in tenders floated by UGVCL and other associated power distribution companies under the erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board framework, subject to applicable tender conditions.
The approval follows a detailed evaluation process, including factory inspection and assessment of the Company’s manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, and operational standards. The registration has been granted for a period of five years, reflecting confidence in the Company’s product quality and manufacturing infrastructure.
This development further expands the Company’s approved vendor base across utilities and power sector entities, creating opportunities to participate in power distribution projects and strengthening its presence in one of India’s most industrialized and power-intensive states.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Verma, Chairman & Managing Director of Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited, said, “The approval from UGVCL is a significant achievement for our Company and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable power distribution solutions. Gujarat continues to be one of India’s most important industrial and infrastructure growth hubs, and this approval enhances our ability to participate in utility-driven projects across the region. We believe this recognition will further strengthen our market presence and contribute meaningfully to our long-term growth strategy.”
He further added that the approval aligns with the Company’s strategy of expanding its footprint across state utilities, power distribution companies, renewable energy projects, and industrial infrastructure segments while continuing to deliver reliable and efficient electrical solutions.
