Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) has secured a multiyear Product Award Letter (PAL) valued at over $1 billion from a hyperscaler for supplying optical connectivity products for AI-ready data center build-outs.
Sterlite Technologies Limited, a connectivity solutions provider of optical fibers, optical fiber cables, optical connectivity, and data centre networks, today announced the receipt of a multiyear Product Award Letter (PAL) valued at more than $1Bn. Under this agreement, through one of its subsidiaries, STL will supply optical connectivity products to a hyperscaler for AI Data Centre build-outs
With its in-house R&D expertise, STL has brought novelty to fiber optic designs and built AI-ready networks. STL’s innovation is driven by co-creation with customers and next-gen optical solutions.
Recently, STL introduced its STL Neuralis AI Data Center Portfolio, which includes solutions designed for high-density and high-speed data environments. The portfolio features AI Whitespace solutions that use ultra-high-density, pre-terminated fiber cables to support the extensive fiber requirements of GPU clusters. It also includes High-Speed Data Center Interconnect (DCI) solutions, such as the Celesta IBR cable series, which are ultra-compact cables offering fiber counts of up to 6,912.
Commenting on the development, Ankit Agarwal, Managing Director of STL, said that under the agreement the company will support the development of AI data center infrastructure in the United States for the hyperscaler. He added that STL is enabling the connectivity backbone required for AI data centers.
