Customer insights are integral to our innovation process, ensuring that every product meets real-world requirements. In line with our vision, we have also made a significant capex investment of INR 100 crore to expand our production capacities for steel and aluminium by 7,000 tons per month (TPM) and 5,000 TPM respectively within the current fiscal year. This strategic expansion is primarily centred at our facility in Khordha, Odisha and our Deulti facility in West Bengal. This investment reinforces our proactive approach to meet evolving market demands. Through this integrated approach which combines innovation, customer feedback and rigorous quality control, we ensure that our products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance and progress.
Q. Which national and international certifications does Nirmal Wires hold, and how do you ensure consistent compliance with quality and safety standards across markets?
Certifications play a vital role in building trust, ensuring reliability, and demonstrating a company’s
commitment to excellence. They validate that every product and process meets the highest benchmarks
of quality and safety—something we at Nirmal Wires take immense pride in. Our operations are anchored
by the ISO 9001:2015 certification, which drives our quality management system and ensures continuous
improvement across all functions. In addition, our products are certified under IS and BIS standards for
compliance with Indian market requirements, while ASTM and JIS certifications validate their performance
and durability for international applications. We take special pride in being the first Indian company to receive the prestigious JIS certification, a milestone that underscores our dedication to meeting the most
rigorous international standards and reinforces our leadership in the wire manufacturing industry. Every
final product undergoes stringent testing in our advanced in-house laboratories accredited by NABL
and RDSO, ensuring absolute precision, consistency, and compliance with international benchmarks. These certifications cover key parameters such as tensile strength, coating uniformity, corrosion resistance, and dimensional accuracy, ensuring that every wire leaving our facility meets global expectations. Together, they stand as proof of our uncompromising quality standards and our commitment to redefining the future of wire manufacturing through innovation and excellence.
Q. How does advanced metallurgy and the use of innovative alloys or coatings contribute to the performance, durability, and conductivity of your products?
Alloys have become central to modern manufacturing, offering tailored combinations of strength, conductivity, and corrosion resistance. Their composition can be finetuned to create materials that efficiently cater to specific operational demands. Modern engineering relies heavily on advanced metallurgy, and our products are a reflection of this commitment. We deliver advanced aluminium alloy products, including AL 59, 6XXX aluminium wire rods, and AAC, AAAC and AACSR conductors, designed for outstanding strength, conductivity, and efficiency, ensuring reliable and long-term performance in challenging environments. NIZNAL®, our zinc–aluminium alloy coated steel wires, stand out for their exceptional corrosion resistance, lasting up to 6 times longer than traditional galvanized wires. They play a vital role across industries such as agriculture, power, railways, construction, etc., where durability and resilience are key. Additionally, our zinc– aluminium alloy wires for advanced metallizing are engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and corrosive conditions, ensuring consistent protection and performance in the harshest industrial settings.
Q. What quality control measures are implemented at different stages of production to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction?
Our quality control process begins before production, with all raw materials sourced only from approved suppliers and inspected for composition, strength, and consistency before being cleared for use. During
manufacturing, every stage, from rolling and drawing to coating and packaging, is monitored to ensure
uniform quality and adherence to specifications. After production, finished goods undergo comprehensive testing in our in-house laboratories, which are accredited by regulatory bodies such as the NABL and RDSO. We thoroughly verify mechanical properties like tensile strength, conductivity and rust resistance, along with surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Each approved batch is then assigned a unique batch number and issued a Quality Control Certificate for traceability. We also provide after-sales assistance, where in case any customer raises a quality concern, our team conducts on-site inspections, prepares detailed reports and provides refunds or replacements as required. This step-by-step system ensures product reliability and complete customer satisfaction.
Q. How does Nirmal Wires leverage real-time inventory management and logistics intelligence to strengthen supply chain efficiency and ensure timely global deliveries?
Our supply chain is a blend of precision, reliability and technology. We use a world-class RFID tracking system that gives us real-time visibility and complete batch traceability- right from the start of production to the point of delivery. Each product can be traced to its batch instantly, ensuring transparency and accountability across operations. This helps us monitor inventory movement at every stage, reduce manual errors and respond quickly to any supply chain challenges. We have also partnered with trusted logistics vendors who share our belief in delivering both quality and quantity on time. Their proven reliability allows us to maintain punctual domestic and international deliveries without compromising product safety. Combining intelligent tracking with dependable logistics, we are continuously strengthening our supply chain efficiency and keeping our promise of timely, consistent service to customers worldwide.
Q. How is Nirmal Wires integrating sustainability and circular economy principles into its operations, particularly in terms of recycling, energy efficiency, and waste reduction?
Sustainability is a key operational priority supported by concrete, measurable actions. We minimize raw
material wastage by sourcing exclusively from a verified list of reliable vendors, ensuring consistent input
quality and efficient material utilization. Metal waste generated during manufacturing is systematically
collected, melted and reused to maintain a closedloop production cycle and reduce dependence on
virgin resources. To lower our environmental impact, we have optimized our pickling process to significantly reduce acid consumption, improving both safety and effluent quality. We have also installed an advanced affluent treatment plant that recycles 80-90 kilolitres of water per day, which is then used for irrigation and maintenance of the green cover within our premises. Furthermore, we are also gradually transitioning to using solar energy to decrease reliance on nonrenewable power sources, reinforcing our approach to resource management.
